CashKitty

Return and refund policy.

CashKitty is a subscription, so nothing is shipped and there is nothing to post back. This page is about returning your money: when we can, how to ask, and how long it takes to arrive.

What you are buying

CashKitty is a digital service, delivered over the internet to your account. There is no physical product and nothing is posted to you, so “return” here means returning your money rather than returning goods.

The Free plan has no time limit and costs nothing, so you can see what CashKitty does before you pay for anything. Premium is paid for in advance: a month at a time, or once with Lifetime. We keep no card and we never charge you automatically — a month you have paid for runs to its end and then the account returns to Free unless you choose to pay for another.

Payments are taken by SSLCommerz, our payment gateway, on this website. A refund is returned the same way, to the method you paid with.

Nothing is ever charged through an app store. Google Play and the Apple App Store are not involved in any CashKitty payment, so there is no store purchase to ask them to refund — every refund is asked of us, and made by us.

When you can have your money back

  • Your first payment on a plan. Ask within 14 days of the payment being taken and you get all of it back. You do not have to give a reason.
  • A charge that should not have happened. Charged twice, charged after you cancelled, or charged an amount that does not match the plan you chose — the difference comes back in full, whenever you notice it.
  • A fault on our side. If something broken here stopped you using CashKitty for a meaningful part of a period you paid for, we refund that period in proportion to the time you lost.
  • A payment you did not mean to make. If you paid for a month you had not meant to buy and have not used Premium since, tell us within 14 days of that payment and we will refund it.

How to ask

The quickest way is from Billing in your account: find the payment, press Request a refund, and tell us what happened. We already know which payment you mean, so there is nothing to look up.

You can also write to support@cashkitty.app from the email address on the account, or use the contact form and choose Plans & billing. If you write, tell us:

  • the email address your CashKitty account uses;
  • the date and amount of the payment, or the invoice number;
  • and, if you would like to say, what went wrong.

We answer within 3 working days with a decision rather than an acknowledgement, or with the one detail we still need. We ask the last question because it is usually the only way we find out something is broken — but you do not have to justify a request inside the 14-day window.

How long a refund takes

Once a refund is approved it is issued to the original payment method, and the money reaches you within 7 to 10 working days of that approval.

  • Refunds go back by the route the payment came in: to the same card, the same mobile wallet, or the same bank account. We cannot send it somewhere else.
  • Cards sometimes take a little longer on the issuer’s side, and the date on your statement may be the date of the original payment rather than the date of the refund.
  • Any fee your bank, card issuer or wallet provider charged you when you paid is theirs, not ours, and we cannot return it.
  • A refund returns what you were actually charged. If a payment was reduced by a credit — moving from monthly to Lifetime takes the month you had already paid for off the price — the refund is of the reduced figure, which is the one on your invoice.

Every refund is decided by a person, not by a rule, and we make it by hand through SSLCommerz once it is approved. You can follow where a request has got to from Billing in your account, and we email you at each step.

If that time has passed and you still cannot see the money, write to us again — we will trace it with SSLCommerz ourselves rather than send you to them.

Stopping, which is not the same thing

There is nothing to cancel. Nothing is standing to be charged: we hold no card, so a month you have paid for simply runs to its end and the account returns to Free. Not paying again is how you stop, and it costs you nothing to do. If you would rather not be reminded before a month ends, you can turn those reminders off from the Premium page.

Letting a month end is not a refund of it. Your Premium features keep working until the day you paid up to.

Nothing you created is ever deleted because a plan ended. Every wallet, record, budget, goal, label and file stays, and stays readable. Only adding more beyond the Free limits needs Premium again.

When we may say no

We may decline a refund where:

  • the request arrives more than 14 days after the payment was taken, and none of the cases above applies;
  • the period was actively used after a refund request had already been declined for it;
  • the payment was already refunded, or reversed through your bank as a chargeback;
  • the account was suspended for breaking the terms and conditions;
  • or the same account has repeatedly subscribed and claimed a refund in a way that is plainly not about using the product.

If we decline, we will say which of these applies and why, in plain words. You can reply and ask us to look again, and a person will.

Your rights under the law

Nothing in this policy takes away any right you have under the consumer law that applies where you live, including any statutory right to cancel or to a refund. Where that law gives you more than this page does, the law wins.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the version in force on the day you paid is the one that applies to that payment. A changed policy never applies backwards to money you have already handed over.
