Delete your account.

Sign in, open Settings → Privacy & security, and choose Delete account. You will be asked for your password, because an unlocked phone left on a table should not be enough to start this.

It is the same in the mobile app and on this website, and either one closes the whole account. Sign in to delete your account.

If you cannot sign in — a lost password you cannot reset, or an address you no longer control — email support@cashkitty.app from any address you can reach us from and we will verify you another way.

Nothing is deleted on the day you ask. Your account is scheduled for deletion 30 days later, and until that date you can sign in and cancel, which puts everything back exactly as it was.

During those 30 days your records are locked: you can sign in, see how long is left, cancel, export your data and sign out, but nothing else.

Your wallets, records, transfers, budgets, goals, bills, debts, categories, labels, contacts, notifications and every file you have uploaded, together with your name, email address, phone number and profile picture. None of it can be recovered afterwards.

A wallet you share with other people is not destroyed with you: it passes to the member who has been in it longest, so nobody else loses records they rely on. Anything you wrote in it stops being attributed to you. A wallet nobody else is a member of is deleted.

Invoices and payment records are kept, because tax law requires us to keep them. They are held apart from everything else, and nothing in them says what you spent your money on.

We also keep a record that a deletion happened — the dates, and a one-way fingerprint of the email address rather than the address itself. It is there so we can answer “did you delete my account?” without keeping anything that identifies you.

You can export everything as CSV, Excel or PDF from Settings → Export, and you can still do it during the 30 days. Once the account is deleted there is nothing left to export.
